Op 5 oktober 2012 promoveerde drs. J.M. Tromp aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam op haar promotieonderzoek, getiteld ‘The microenvironment and treatment resistance in chronic lymphocytic leukemia’, onder begeleiding van promotoren prof. dr. M.H.J. van Oers en prof. dr. E.F. Eldering. In deze proefschriftbespreking worden de belangrijkste bevindingen van het onderzoek weergegeven.
