Op 10 november 2023 promoveerde dr. Karima Amaador aan het Amsterdam UMC, locatie AMC, op haar proefschrift getiteld ‘Understanding Waldenström’s macroglobulinemia: a multimodal approach’ onder begeleiding van promotoren prof. dr. M.J. Kersten (afdeling Hematologie, Amsterdam UMC) en prof. dr. S.T. Pals (afdeling Pathologie, Amsterdam UMC) en copromotoren dr. J.M.I. Vos (afdeling Hematologie, Amsterdam UMC) en dr. A.G. Dinmohamed (afdeling Onderzoek, Integraal Kankercentrum Nederland). De belangrijkste bevindingen van haar onderzoek worden hier besproken.
