Op 15 november 2016 promoveerde Lucia E. Duinhouwer aan de Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam op haar promotieonderzoek, getiteld ‘Het verbeteren van klinische uitkomsten na stamceltransplantatie met navelstrengbloed door het vermeerderen van hematologische stam- en voorlopercellen’, onder begeleiding van promotor prof. dr. J.J. Cornelissen en copromotor dr. E. Braakman. Hieronder zijn de belangrijkste bevindingen uit haar proefschrift weergegeven.
