Op 22 december 2011 promoveerde mw. drs. S.H. Tonino aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam op het onderzoek beschreven in het proefschrift ‘Aangrijpingspunten voor de behandeling van chemotherapieresistente chronische lymfatische leukemie’ onder begeleiding van promotor dhr. prof. dr. M.H.J. van Oers en co-promotoren dhr. dr. A.P. Kater en dhr. dr. E. Eldering. Hieronder zijn de belangrijkste bevindingen van het onderzoek weergegeven.
