Op 2 mei 2023 promoveerde dr. Yasmin de Wit aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam op haar proefschrift ‘Rustig aan met je plaatjes: de rol van complement en neutrofielen bij infectie, ontsteking en immuniteit’, onder begeleiding van promotor prof. dr. Sacha S. Zeerleder (afdeling Hematologie, Amsterdam UMC) en copromotor dr. Anja ten Brinke (afdeling Immunopathologie Research, Sanquin). De belangrijkste bevindingen van haar proefschrift worden hier besproken.
