Op 16 juni 2022 promoveerde dr. Gwendolyn van Gorkom aan de Universiteit van Maastricht op haar proefschrift ‘Improving outcome of haematopoietic stem cell transplantation: a possible role for haploidentical donors and ascorbic acid’ onder begeleiding van prof. dr. G.M.J. Bos (afdeling Hematologie, Maastricht UMC) en copromotor dr. C.H.M.J. van Elssen (afdeling Hematologie, Maastricht UMC). De belangrijkste bevindingen van haar onderzoek worden hier besproken.
